Dhṛtarāṣṭra–Saṃjaya Dialogue; Account of Sātyaki vs Alambusa
प्रययौ त्वरितस्तूर्ण काम्बोजानां महाचमूम् । स तत्र बहुभि: शूरै: संनिरुद्धो महारथै:
prayayau tvaritas tūrṇaṃ kāmbojānāṃ mahācamūm | sa tatra bahubhiḥ śūraiḥ saṃniruddho mahārathaiḥ ||
Sañjaya said: He swiftly hastened toward the great army-division of the Kāmbojas. There, he was hemmed in on all sides by many heroic warriors—mighty chariot-fighters—who sought to check his advance amid the press of battle.

The verse highlights the battlefield ethic of steadfastness under pressure: even when confronted and surrounded by many elite fighters, a warrior’s resolve and duty-driven advance are tested. It underscores how opposition and restraint are integral to the moral and strategic trials of war.
Sañjaya reports that a warrior rapidly advances toward the Kāmboja contingent, but upon reaching it he is intercepted and surrounded by numerous brave mahārathas, who collectively attempt to halt his movement.
