Dhṛtarāṣṭra–Saṃjaya Dialogue; Account of Sātyaki vs Alambusa
ततोअन््यत् सुदृढं चाप॑ं पूर्णमायम्य सात्यकि:
tato 'nyat sudṛḍhaṃ cāpaṃ pūrṇam āyamya sātyakiḥ
Sañjaya said: Then Sātyaki, drawing another bow—firm and unyielding—pulled it to its full stretch, preparing to continue the fight with unwavering resolve.
संजय उवाच
The verse highlights steadfastness in one’s chosen duty: even amid exhaustion and danger, a warrior renews his readiness with disciplined effort. Ethically, it reflects perseverance and composure in action rather than wavering or despair.
Sañjaya narrates that Sātyaki takes up another strong bow and draws it fully, signaling that he is re-arming and continuing the battle with renewed determination.
