Sañjaya said: Seeing those two enemy-subduing heroes intent on forcing their way into your army, all your troops stood alert and ready for battle, with Droṇa at their head. The moment underscores how, in war, courage and resolve on one side immediately demand vigilance and disciplined preparedness on the other.

The verse highlights a martial-ethical principle: when formidable opponents act with clear intent, a leader must ensure collective discipline and readiness. Courage must be met with vigilance; leadership (Droṇa at the front) organizes fear into ordered preparedness.
Sañjaya reports to Dhṛtarāṣṭra that two powerful warriors are attempting to break into the Kaurava host. In response, the entire Kaurava force, led by Droṇa, stands poised and armed, ready to resist their entry.
