Sañjaya said: Rejoicing greatly, they honored and praised the mighty son of the Wind (Bhīma) again and again—just as the Marut hosts extol Indra (Śakra) when he returns from battle after conquering Prahrāda. The passage frames martial success as worthy of communal recognition, while also reminding that power is ideally aligned with righteous purpose and the protection of one’s side.

Sañjaya reports that the warriors, overjoyed, celebrate and honor Bhīma (called Māruti) for his battlefield success, comparing their praise to the Maruts lauding Indra after he defeats Prahrāda in combat.
