Arrow-storm Engagement

Sanjaya said: With that banner, Arjuna blazed forth—like the Himalaya illuminated by a wreath of fire. His chariot bore a single, towering standard, splendid with the emblem of the great monkey; and by it Arjuna appeared radiant, inspiring awe and resolve amid the moral gravity of war.

The verse highlights tejas (radiant moral and martial energy) expressed through righteous resolve: in a dharmic struggle, inner steadiness and purpose manifest outwardly as inspiring presence, symbolized by the banner and its emblem.
Sanjaya narrates Arjuna’s appearance on the battlefield: his chariot bears a prominent standard with a monkey emblem, and Arjuna is described as blazing brilliantly, compared to the Himalaya lit up by fire.
