इदमड्िरसे प्रादाद्‌ देवेशो वर्म भास्वरम्‌ | तस्माद्‌ बृहस्पति: प्राप ततः प्राप पुरंदर:,देवेश्वर! ब्रह्माजीने यह तेजस्वी कवच अंगिराको दिया था। उनसे बृहस्पतिजीने प्राप्त किया था। बृहस्पतिजीसे वह इन्द्रको मिला

idam aṅgirase prādād deveśo varma bhāsvaram | tasmād bṛhaspatiḥ prāpa tataḥ prāpa purandaraḥ ||

Arjuna said: “The Lord of the gods bestowed this radiant armor upon Aṅgiras. From Aṅgiras it came to Bṛhaspati, and from Bṛhaspati it passed to Purandara (Indra).” The verse underscores the sanctity of divine gifts and the legitimacy conferred by an unbroken, righteous lineage of transmission.
