भीमकर्णसमागमः | Bhīma–Karṇa Encounter

अप-#-#रा+ द्र्याधेकशततमो< ध्याय: श्रीकृष्णका अर्जुनकी प्रशंसापूर्वक उसे प्रोत्साहन देना, अर्जुन और दुर्योधनका एक-दूसरेके सम्मुख आना, कौरव- सैनिकोंका भय तथा दुर्योधनका अर्जुनको ललकारना वायुदेव उवाच दुर्योधनमतिक्रान्तमेतं पश्य धनंजय । अत्यद्भुतमिमं मन्ये नास्त्यस्य सदृशो रथ:

vāyudeva uvāca | duryodhanam atikrāntam etaṁ paśya dhanañjaya | atyadbhutam imaṁ manye nāsty asya sadṛśo rathaḥ ||

Vāyudeva said: “Behold, Dhanañjaya—this one has surpassed Duryodhana. I deem this truly astonishing: there is no chariot equal to his.” In the moral atmosphere of the war, the line frames excellence in battle not as mere pride but as a call to steadfastness and right resolve amid fear and intimidation.
