वासुदेवो रथात् तूर्णमवतीर्य महाद्युति: । मोचयामास तुरगान् विनुन्नान् कड़कपत्रिभि:,संजय कहते हैं--राजन्! जब महात्मा कुन्तीकुमारने वह जल उत्पन्न कर दिया, शत्रुओंकी सेनाको आगे बढ़नेसे रोक दिया और बाणोंका घर बना दिया, तब महातेजस्वी भगवान् श्रीकृष्णने तुरंत ही रथसे उतरकर कंकपत्रयुक्त बाणोंसे क्षत-विक्षत हुए घोड़ोंको खोल दिया

mocayāmāsa turagān vinunnān kaṅkapatribhiḥ ||
Sañjaya said: O King, then Vāsudeva—radiant with great splendor—swiftly descended from the chariot and released the horses, which had been grievously wounded by arrows feathered with heron-plumes. The act underscores Kṛṣṇa’s vigilant care for life amid battle, attending first to the suffering of the innocent steeds even in the press of war.
