Educational Q&A

The verse highlights narrative restraint and accuracy: Sañjaya clarifies that his account of the many lands is only an outline, reminding the listener that vast realities (peoples and regions) can be indicated without exhaustive detail.

Sañjaya, reporting to King Dhṛtarāṣṭra, concludes a geographical/tribal enumeration connected with the war context, stating that he has mentioned the eastern and northern realms only briefly, by way of summary.
