भीष्मस्य भीमसेन-निरोधः
Bhīṣma checks Bhīmasena; matched engagements intensify
महोरग वराहाद्य हरिकेश विभो जय । हरिवास दिशामीश विश्ववासामिताव्यय,आप महान् शेषनाग और महावाराह-रूप धारण करनेवाले हैं, सबके आदि कारण हैं। हरिकेश! प्रभो! आपकी जय हो, आप पीताम्बरधारी, दिशाओंके स्वामी, विश्वके आधार, अप्रमेय और अविनाशी हैं
mahoraga-varāhādya harikeśa vibho jaya | harivāsa diśāmīśa viśvavāsāmitāvyaya ||
Bhīṣma praises the Supreme Lord: “Victory to You, O Hari-keśa, all-pervading Master—You who assume the forms of the great serpent (Śeṣa) and the mighty boar (Varāha), the primal cause of all. O Lord clad in yellow garments, ruler of the directions, support of the universe—immeasurable and imperishable.” In the midst of war, the hymn frames dharma as grounded in devotion to the eternal source who upholds cosmic order beyond changing forms.
