mahatā rathasaṅghena samantāt parirakṣitaḥ

Translation

Sañjaya said: He was protected on all sides by a great mass of chariots—an image of martial power and collective resolve, showing how, in war, a leader’s safety depends not only on personal valor but on the disciplined support of the whole force.
