Arjuna said: Even a person who cannot undertake a disciplined study of this teaching, but listens to it with faith and without fault-finding, is freed from sin and attains the auspicious realms reached by those who perform righteous deeds. The ethical emphasis is that sincere, non-cynical receptivity to sacred instruction itself becomes a purifying act and a gateway to higher moral and spiritual destiny.

Faithful, non-critical listening to sacred instruction is itself spiritually efficacious: it purifies the listener from sin and grants the same auspicious destiny associated with meritorious conduct.
After describing the greatness of studying the teaching, the speaker extends eligibility to those unable to study: even hearing it with faith and without fault-finding yields liberation from sin and access to higher realms.
