Sañjaya said: Above him a lofty, brilliantly white parasol—fitted with rods made of elephant tusk—shone with great splendor. Then great seers, praising that lord of men with many eulogies, reverently attended him and circumambulated him in the auspicious clockwise manner, marking him out as worthy of honor and righteous sovereignty even amid the looming war.

The verse highlights dharmic kingship and rightful honor: symbols like the white royal parasol and the sages’ clockwise circumambulation signify legitimate sovereignty and moral esteem, implying that true authority is affirmed by virtue and the recognition of the wise.
A royal parasol supported by tusk-rods is held aloft over the king, shining brightly, while great seers approach, praise him with hymns, and perform pradakṣiṇā (clockwise circumambulation) as a formal act of reverence.
