Sañjaya said: They appeared fully armed, standing firm in their own battle-formations. Thus, many other expert strategists—great chariot-warriors, kings and princes—remaining under Duryodhana’s command, were seen stationed in their respective divisions, equipped with armor and weapons, ready for the coming conflict.

Educational Q&A

The verse underscores disciplined readiness and organized power under a commander’s authority; ethically, it hints at how skill, strength, and strategic knowledge can be placed in the service of a chosen leader—raising the implicit question of whether loyalty and prowess align with dharma.

Sañjaya is describing the Kaurava side’s war preparedness: warriors are visibly armed and stationed in their respective divisions, indicating that the battle lines are set and the conflict is imminent.
