Bhīṣma’s unmatched momentum and the assault with Śikhaṇḍin in the lead

Sanjaya said: O King, in the thick of battle Duhshasana struck Arjuna, the son of Pandu, with three arrows, and wounded Vasudeva’s son, Sri Krishna, with twenty arrows. The scene underscores the war’s ruthless intensity, where even Krishna—though beyond harm in essence—stands beside Arjuna and shares the outward dangers of the battlefield as part of his chosen role.
