Sanjaya said: Seeing the army thrown into panic and disorder, the Lord Krishna—delight of the Yadus—checked his excellent chariot and addressed Arjuna, the son of Kunti, the valiant Partha. The moment underscores Krishna’s deliberate restraint amid chaos: leadership in war is not mere speed or force, but clear-sighted control and timely counsel grounded in dharma.

Even in the turmoil of battle, dharmic action requires restraint and discernment. Krishna’s act of checking the chariot before speaking highlights that wise leadership pauses to assess and guide rather than being swept along by panic.
Sanjaya reports that when disorder spreads through the army, Krishna halts his chariot and addresses Arjuna. The scene sets up a moment of instruction or strategic counsel in response to the battlefield’s sudden confusion.
