Yudhiṣṭhira said: “Having duly honored Bhīma and the others as well, he embraced Keśava (Kṛṣṇa).” The scene underscores the restoration of harmony after conflict: reverence to elders and affectionate regard for Kṛṣṇa are shown as marks of dharma—humility, gratitude, and the binding power of respectful relationships.
युधिष्ठिर उवाच
Dharma is expressed not only through grand vows but through conduct: honoring one’s kin and companions and showing affectionate reverence to Kṛṣṇa. Respect (pūjā) and heartfelt reconciliation (āliṅgana) are presented as ethical duties that heal social bonds after turmoil.
In Yudhiṣṭhira’s narration, a figure (contextually an elder or principal personage) first pays due honor to Bhīma and the others and then embraces Keśava (Kṛṣṇa), signaling acceptance, goodwill, and the re-establishment of harmonious relations.
