Embraced by those two and comforted, the mighty-armed hero—surrounded by all the Vṛṣṇis and supported by their counsel—was consoled and steadied in spirit amid the duties and emotions that followed the great events.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights the ethical strength of communal support: a leader or hero is steadied not only by personal valor but also by affectionate bonds and wise counsel from one’s own people, which helps sustain dharma in difficult transitions.
The mighty-armed figure is embraced by two women (implied by the feminine dual) and consoled; at the same time, he is surrounded and guided by the Vṛṣṇis, indicating a scene of reassurance and collective counsel in the Ashvamedhika Parva’s continuing narrative.
