सौदास उवाच प्रजानिसर्गाद्‌ विप्रान्‌ वै क्षत्रिया: पूजयन्ति ह । विप्रेभ्यश्षापि बहवो दोषा: प्रादुर्भवन्ति वै,सौदास बोले--ब्रह्मन! क्षत्रियलोग सृष्टिके प्रारम्भकालसे ब्राह्मणोंकी पूजा करते आ रहे हैं तथापि ब्राह्मणोंकी ओरसे भी क्षत्रियोंके लिये बहुत-से दोष प्रकट हो जाते हैं

Saudāsa uvāca | prajānisargād viprān vai kṣatriyāḥ pūjayanti ha | viprebhyaś cāpi bahavo doṣāḥ prādurbhavanti vai ||

Saudāsa said: “From the very beginning of creation, the Kṣatriyas have indeed honored the Brāhmaṇas. Yet even from the Brāhmaṇas, many faults and troubles arise for the Kṣatriyas.”

Educational Q&A
