उत्तद़्क उवाच नागलोके यदि ब्रह्म॒न् न शक््ये कुण्डले मया । प्राप्तुं प्राणान् विमोक्ष्यामि पश्यतस्तु द्विजोत्तम,उत्तंकने कहा--ब्रह्मन! द्विजश्रेष्ठ] यदि नागलोकमें जाकर उन कुण्डलोंको प्राप्त करना मेरे लिये असम्भव है तो मैं आपके सामने ही अपने प्राणोंका परित्याग कर दूँगा
Transliteration
Uttaṅka uvāca: nāgaloke yadi brahman na śakye kuṇḍale mayā prāptuṁ prāṇān vimokṣyāmi paśyatas tu dvijottama.
Translation
Uttaṅka said: “O Brahmin, if it is not possible for me to obtain those earrings by going to the realm of the Nāgas, then—O best of the twice-born—I will relinquish my life before your very eyes.”
