Adhyāya 51: Kṛṣṇa’s Leave-Taking and Departure for Dvārakā (द्वारकागमनानुमति)
yad adurāpaṁ durāmnāyaṁ durādharṣa duranvayam | tat sarvaṁ tapasā sādhyaṁ tapo hi duratikramam ||
Whatever is exceedingly hard to obtain, hard to master through instruction and practice, hard to subdue, and hard to keep company with or align oneself to—everything of that kind becomes attainable through austerity. For the power of tapas (disciplined ascetic effort) is itself difficult to overcome.
