एतेषां गुणतत्त्वानि वक्ष्यन्ते तत्त्वहेतुभि: । समासव्यासयुक्तानि तत्त्वतस्तानि बोधत,अब मैं तात्विक युक्तियोंद्वारा संक्षेप और विस्तारके साथ इन तीनों गुणोंके कार्योंका यथार्थ वर्णन करता हूँ, इन्हें ध्यान देकर सुनो

eteṣāṃ guṇatattvāni vakṣyante tattvahetubhiḥ | samāsavyāsayuktāni tattvatastāni bodhata |

Vāyu-deva said: “Now I shall set forth, by sound principles that lead to truth, the real nature and workings of these guṇas. I will explain them both briefly and in detail; understand them as they truly are, and listen with attentive discernment.”
