Karma’s Non-Extinction, Jīva’s Entry into the Embryo, and Instruction on Conduct-Dharma

tasya kālaparimāṇam akarot sa pitāmahaḥ | bhūteṣu parivṛttiṃ ca punarāvṛttim eva ca ||

For that embodied being, the Grandsire (the Creator) fixed the measure of time—how long one should bear a body—and also ordained the turning about among living forms, and indeed the return again: coming back from the other world to be born once more here. The verse frames rebirth not as random fate but as a regulated order established by the cosmic lawgiver.
