Karma’s Non-Extinction, Jīva’s Entry into the Embryo, and Instruction on Conduct-Dharma
ततस्तु क्षीयते चैव पुनश्चान्यत् प्रचीयते । यावत् तन्मोक्षयोगस्थं धर्म नैवावबुध्यते,उपभोगसे प्राचीन कर्मका तो क्षय होता है और फिर दूसरे नये-नये कर्मोका संचय बढ़ जाता है। जबतक मोक्षकी प्राप्तिमें सहायक धर्मका उसे ज्ञान नहीं होता, तबतक यह कर्मोकी परम्परा नहीं टूटती है
tatastu kṣīyate caiva punaścānyat pracīyate | yāvat tanmokṣayogasthaṃ dharma naivāvabudhyate ||
Then, as one continues to indulge in experience, the store of earlier deeds is indeed exhausted, yet another stock of fresh deeds is accumulated again. So long as one does not truly understand the dharma that abides in the discipline of liberation (mokṣa-yoga), this succession of karma does not come to an end.
