लालप्यमानमेकैकं जरितां च पुन: पुनः । न चैवोचुस्तदा किंचित्‌ तमृषिं साध्वसाधु वा

Transliteration

lālapyamānam ekaikaṃ jaritāṃ ca punaḥ punaḥ | na caivocustadā kiṃcit tamṛṣiṃ sādhvasādhu vā ||

Translation

Vaiśampāyana said: As the sage kept lamenting—now one thing, now another—and repeatedly calling out to Jaritā, they did not say anything to that ṛṣi at that time, neither words of approval nor of disapproval.
