Vaiśampāyana said: O best of kings, after a few days had passed, on that Raivataka mountain there took place a grand festival of the Vṛṣṇis and the Andhakas. This festive gathering becomes the setting in which personal desire and social custom begin to press upon questions of rightful conduct and consent, soon shaping decisive action.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse establishes a morally charged setting: communal celebration can become the stage where private intention meets public norms, and forthcoming choices must be weighed against dharma, consent, and social responsibility.
After some days, a major festival of the Vṛṣṇi and Andhaka clans is held on Mount Raivataka; this event sets up the subsequent developments involving Arjuna and Subhadrā.
