Vaiśampāyana said: Displaying his own strength of arm before all the assembled troops, Dhanañjaya (Arjuna) let out a lion-like roar; and having done so, he withdrew from that place, leaving it deserted—an act that publicly affirmed his prowess and resolve in the face of the gathered martial community.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights the kṣatriya ideal of openly demonstrating courage and capability before the martial community; honor and resolve are affirmed through disciplined, public acts rather than mere words.
Arjuna, before all the troops, displays his arm-strength and gives a lion-like roar as a sign of confidence and dominance, then departs, leaving the place deserted.
