Thereafter, ten times as many sons were born—offspring of Sahasrajyotis. From them arose and spread the great royal lineages: the Kuru line, the Yadu line, and the Bharata line (and, by extension, many other dynasties of royal seers). Thus the succession of creation and numerous genealogical branches became manifest and expanded in the world.

Educational Q&A

The verse emphasizes the continuity of lineage and responsibility: great dynasties arise from progenitors, and with dynastic expansion comes the ethical burden of preserving order (dharma) through righteous kingship and conduct.

The text is tracing genealogical expansion: Sahasrajyotis has a vastly increased number of sons, and from these descendants the major royal dynasties—especially the Kurus, Yadus, and Bharatas—are said to have proliferated.
