प्रत्यग्निरुषसामग्रमख्यत् प्रत्यहानि प्रथमो जातवेदाः । प्रति सूर्यस्य पुरुधा च रश्मीन् प्रति द्यावापृथिवी आ ततान
práty agnír uṣásām ágram akhyat práty áhāni prathamó jātávedāḥ | práti sū́ryasya purudhā́ ca raśmī́n práti dyā́vā-pṛthivī́ ā́ tatāna
Toward the Dawns did Agni show his foremost face; toward the days stood Jātavedas first in power. Toward the Sun’s rays, manifoldly spread, he reached; toward Heaven and Earth he stretched himself abroad.
