Sukta 44
इन्द्राविष्णुः। उभा जिग्यथुर्न परा जयेथे न परा जिग्ये कतरश्चनैनयोः । इन्द्रश्च विष्णो यदपस्पृधेथां त्रेधा सहस्रं वि तदैरयेथाम्
indrāviṣṇúḥ | ubhā́ jigyathur ná párā jayethe ná párā jigyé kataráś caná enayoḥ | índraś ca viṣṇo yád apáspṛdhethāṃ tredhā́ sahásraṃ ví tád airayethām ||
Indra and Viṣṇu—both have ye conquered; ye are not utterly conquered; neither of you twain hath anywise been utterly conquered. When, O Indra and Viṣṇu, ye strive apart in rivalry, then do ye set the thousand in motion, distributing it threefold.
