Sukta 8
यदि प्रेयुर्देवपुरा ब्रह्म वर्माणि चक्रिरे। तनूपानं परिपाणं कृण्वाना यदुपोचिरे सर्वं तदरसं कृधि
yádi preyúr devapurā́ bráhma varmā́ṇi cakriré | tanūpā́naṃ paripā́ṇaṃ kṛṇvāná yád upociré sárvaṃ tád arásam kṛdhi
If they have gone forth, those god-fortressed ones, and have wrought spell-armours—body-guard and all-around guard—whatsoever they have muttered thereon, make thou all that sapless, void of power.
Rishi: Atharvanic/Angiras (verify in anukramaṇī)
Devata: Indra implicitly as the countering power across the hymn; here the addressed agent is the ritual ‘thou’ (deity/power) who can make arasa
Chandas: Mixed/expanded Anuṣṭubh-like cadence (verify; verse is longer with appended clause)
{"primary_rasa":"vira","secondary_rasa":"raudra","emotional_arc":"From acknowledging the enemy’s formidable defenses to a confident nullification and sealing command.","listener_experience":"A felt sense of reclaiming agency; enemy power becomes hollow.","intensity":7}
