अर्वाञ्चमिन्द्रममुतो हवामहे यो गोजिद् धनजिदश्वजिद् यः । इमं नो यज्ञं विहवे शृणोत्वस्माकमभूर्हर्यश्व मेदी
arvā́ñcam índram amutó havāmahe yó gojí d dhanájid aśvajíd yáḥ | imáṃ no yajñáṃ vihavé śṛṇotu asmā́kam abhūr haryaśva médī ||
Hitherward from yonder do we invoke Indra, who winneth kine, who winneth wealth, who winneth steeds. Let him, at our call, hear this our sacrifice: be ours, O tawny-steeded, gracious helper.
