Sukta 3
उपजीका उद् भरन्ति समुद्रादधि भेषजम्। तदास्रावस्य भेषजं तदु रोगमशीशमत्
upajīkā́ ud bháranti samudrā́d ádhi bheṣajám | tád āsrāvásya bheṣajáṃ tád u rógaṃ aśīśamat ||
The Upajīkās bear forth the remedy from the Sea. That is the remedy for the running flux; that, verily, hath stilled the disease.
Rishi: Atharvanic tradition (specific ṛṣi attribution for AVŚ 2.3 varies by anukramaṇī; commonly treated as Atharvan/Angiras-type healing material).
Devata: Bheṣaja (the Remedy) personified; secondarily the ‘samudra’ as source of healing potency.
