From that sheath whence we drew forth the Veda, therein—within—we set it down. The rite accomplished, the offering duly made by the might of sacred prayer: thereby, O Gods, with holy ardour, aid and guard me here.
Rishi: Uncertain/late compilation layer (often treated as Atharvanic redactional voice rather than a named ṛṣi).
Devata: Brahman/Veda-power; secondarily ‘Devāḥ’ as protectors.
Chandas: Mixed/irregular (late Atharvanic style; not securely classed as a standard RV meter).
{"primary_rasa":"shanta","secondary_rasa":null,"emotional_arc":"From retrieval to inward placement to calm request for protection—closure and assurance.","listener_experience":"Quiet confidence, inwardness, sense of being guarded by meaning.","intensity":3}
