सोमस्त्वा पात्वोषधीभिर्नक्षत्रैः पातु सूर्यः । माद्भ्यस्त्वा चन्द्रो वृत्रहा वातः प्राणेन रक्षतु
sómás tvā pā́tv óṣadhī́bhir nákṣatraiḥ pātú sū́ryaḥ | mā́dbhyas tvā candró vṛtrahā́ vā́taḥ prāṇéna rakṣatu ||
May Soma guard thee with the healing herbs; may the Sun protect thee with the constellations. From maddening harms may the Moon protect thee; may the Vṛtra-slaying Wind, with vital breath, keep thee in ward.
