Sukta 3

यद्यत् कृष्णः शकुन एह गत्वा त्सरन् विषक्तं बिल आससाद । यद् वा दास्या३र्द्रहस्ता समङ्क्त उलूखलं मुसलं शुम्भतापः

yádyat kr̥ṣṇáḥ śakuní eha gátvā tsáran víṣaktaṃ bílam āsasā́da | yád vā dāsyā̀ árdrahastā samaṅktá ulū́khalaṃ músalaṃ śumbhatāpaḥ ||

Whatsoever black portent-bird, coming hither, stealthily gliding, hath reached the clinging burrow; or if the slave-girl, with hands yet wet, hath smeared the mortar and the pestle—do ye, O heat-bright purifiers, make them clean.
