Sukta 7
एकरात्रो द्विरात्रः सद्यःक्रीः प्रक्रीरुक्थ्यः । ओतं निहितमुच्छिष्टे यज्ञस्याणूनि विद्यया
ekarātró dvirā́traḥ sadyáḥkrī́ḥ prakrī́r ukthyáḥ | ótam níhitaṁ́ ucchíṣṭe yajñásyā́ṇūni vidyáyā́
The One-night, the Two-night, the Sadyaskrī, the Prakrī, the Ukthya—these are interwoven and laid away in Ucchiṣṭa; by sacred knowledge are known the sacrifice’s subtle particles.
Rishi: Atharvanic tradition (often treated as Brahmavādic/anonymous in this speculative hymn)
Devata: Ucchiṣṭa (personified Residue) as the sustaining principle of yajña
Chandas: Mixed/irregular; predominantly anuṣṭubh-like cadence with brāhmaṇa-style enumerative diction
{"primary_rasa":"adbhuta","secondary_rasa":"shanta","emotional_arc":"From technical enumeration to wonder at hidden containment in residue; settles into calm certainty through vidyā.","listener_experience":"Awe at the idea that the whole rite is preserved in what remains; intellectual reverence.","intensity":6}
