Sukta 9
यः शतौदनां पचति कामप्रेण स कल्पते । प्रीता ह्यऽस्यर्त्विजः सर्वे यन्ति यथायथम्
yáḥ śatā́udanāṁ pácati kāmápreṇa sá kálpate | prītā́ hí ’syá r̥tvíjaḥ sárve yánti yáthā-yatham
Whoso cooketh the Hundred-odana with desire’s incitement, he is made successful: for, well-pleased, all his priests go each to his place in ordered wise.
Rishi: Atharvanic tradition (Aṅgiras/Atharvan-type seer; hymn ascribed within AV ritual corpus rather than a single named ṛṣi in many listings)
Devata: Śatāudana/Anna (food as merit-bearing offering); implicitly Agni and the ṛtvijas as efficacy-mediators
Chandas: Anuṣṭubh (predominant)
{"primary_rasa":"shanta","secondary_rasa":"shringara","emotional_arc":"Warm desire motivates action; satisfaction and orderly completion follow.","listener_experience":"Confidence, domestic warmth, sense of ‘things going right’.","intensity":3}
