Sukta 8

tísro ha prajā́ atiyā́yamāyan ny ànyā́ arkám abhíto ’viśanta | bṛhán ha tasthau rájaso vimā́no hárīto hárīṇīr ā́ viveśa
Three, verily, were the creatures: they went on, passing beyond; the others entered round about the Sun. The Vast One stood fast, measuring out the airy realm; the tawny powers, the tawny mothers, entered in.
Rishi: Traditionally associated with speculative seers of late Atharvanic strata (often treated as ‘Brahmavidyā’ material rather than a single named ṛṣi in some traditions)
Devata: Savitṛ/Sūrya as cosmic measurer; also the impersonal ‘Bṛhat’ (the Vast)
Chandas: Triṣṭubh-like cadence (late, speculative style; metrical irregularities occur in this kanda)
{"primary_rasa":"adbhuta","secondary_rasa":"shanta","emotional_arc":"Cosmic wonder → settling into vast stability.","listener_experience":"Panoramic clarity; the mind feels ‘measured’ and spacious.","intensity":6}
