Sukta 8
शतं सहस्रमयुतं न्यऽर्बुदमसंख्येयं स्वमस्मिन् निविष्टम्। तदस्य घ्नन्त्यभिपश्यत एव तस्माद् देवो रोचत एष एतत्
śatáṃ sahásram ayútaṃ ní ’rbudam asaṅkhyéyaṃ svám asmín nivíṣṭam | tád asya ghnánty abhí-paśyata évá tásmād devó rócat eṣá etát ||
A hundred, a thousand, ten thousand—yea, a vast uncounted mass—his own is planted here within. That very store they smite, even while they look upon it; therefore the God shone forth—this is that.
