Whoso of you, O Waters, is the Waters’ calf, lodged within the waters, fit for the inner Yajus, a sacrificer unto no Gods—this one I send forth beyond; wash him not back upon me. With him we hurl him forth against that man who hateth us, whom we ourselves do hate. Him would I smite, him would I crush, with this brahman, with this operation, with this wrathful impulse.
Rishi: Atharvanic tradition (specific r̥ṣi attribution for AVŚ 10.5 requires anukramaṇī confirmation)
Devata: Āpaḥ (Waters) as operative power; secondarily the dispatched inner essence within waters
Chandas: Mixed/irregular; predominantly prose-like Atharvanic cadence with mantraic repetitions (meter requires pada-count verification per edition)
{"primary_rasa":"raudra","secondary_rasa":"bhayankara","emotional_arc":"From uncanny summoning of a hidden watery entity to forceful projection and violent crushing.","listener_experience":"Eerie, subterranean power; sense of danger managed by strict containment.","intensity":9}
