वृथाटनं था दानं वृथा च पशुमारणम् न कर्त्तव्यं गृहस्थेन वृता दारपरिग्रहम्
vṛthāṭanaṃ thā dānaṃ vṛthā ca paśumāraṇam na karttavyaṃ gṛhasthena vṛtā dāraparigraham
Seorang perumah tangga tidak boleh melakukan pengembaraan tanpa tujuan, sedekah yang sia-sia, dan pembunuhan hewan tanpa alasan. Ia juga tidak boleh mengambil istri (memasuki gr̥hastha) secara sembrono tanpa pertimbangan.
