ऋषभचरित्रवर्णनम् (Ṛṣabha-caritra-varṇanam) — “Account of Ṛṣabha’s Sacred Narrative”

Tattva Level: pati
Cosmic Event: ninth parivarta: emergence of a Vyāsa named Sārasvata within that yuga
It highlights Shiva’s orderly unfolding of dharma across cosmic cycles, where enlightened sages like Vyāsa arise to preserve and transmit sacred knowledge so beings can follow the path toward liberation.
By pointing to Vyāsa’s appearance, the verse underscores that authentic forms of Shiva worship—such as Linga-upāsanā and devotion to Saguna Shiva—are safeguarded through scriptural compilation and faithful lineage.
The takeaway is śāstra-śravaṇa and japa: regularly listen to/recite Purāṇic teachings and support them with mantra practice (especially the Panchākṣarī, “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) to stabilize devotion and understanding.
