The Account of Śambhu’s Incarnation that Dispels Doubts Concerning Women

It highlights pradoṣa as a spiritually charged time for Śiva-upāsanā: when the devotee is absorbed in worship of Śambhu, karmic and worldly forces often stir (symbolized by the ominous uproar), yet the devotee remains anchored in Pati (Śiva) as the supreme refuge.
The verse presents Saguna devotion—worshipping Śambhu as Giriśa at a specific sacred time. In Shiva Purana practice, such pradoṣa-pūjā is commonly performed to the Śiva-liṅga, treating the Liṅga as the accessible, grace-bestowing form of the transcendent Lord.
Pradoṣa-pūjā: evening worship of Śiva with steady bhakti—offering water, bilva leaves, and mantra-japa (especially the pañcākṣarī “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”), maintaining inner composure even if outer disturbances arise.
