Agni as the sustaining and protecting sacrificial fire who grants prosperity and defends the rite

शुक्रं ते अन्यद्यजतं ते अन्यद्विषुरूपे अहनी द्यौरिवासि विश्वा हि माया अवसि स्वधावन्भद्रा ते पूषन्निह रातिरस्तु

śukraṃ te anyadyajataṃ te anyadviṣurūpe ahanī dyaurivāsi viśvā hi māyā avasi svadhāvanbhadrā te pūṣanniha rātirastu

śukraṃ te anyat yajataṃ te anyat | viṣu-rūpe ahanī dyauḥ iva asi1 | viśvā hi māyāḥ avasi svadhā-van2 | bhadrā te pūṣan iha rātiḥ3 astu ||

Satu wujud-Mu cemerlang, yang lain menawan; beraneka rupa Engkau, laksana langit pada siang dan malam. Dengan segala māyā-Mu Engkau melindungi, wahai pemilik svadhā; semoga anugerah-Mu yang membawa berkah, wahai Pūṣan, hadir di sini.
