Agni as the sacrificial forerunner who opens the rite, framed by cosmic illumination and Indra’s paradigm of releasing prosperity
सं ते पयांसि समु यन्तु वाजाः सं वृष्ण्यान्यभिमातिषाहः आप्यायमानो अमृताय सोम दिवि श्रवांस्युत्तमानि धिष्व
saṃ te payāṃsi samu yantu vājāḥ saṃ vṛṣṇyānyabhimātiṣāhaḥ āpyāyamāno amṛtāya soma divi śravāṃsyuttamāni dhiṣva
saṃ1 te pa-yāṃ-si2 sa-mu3 yan-tu1 vā-jāḥ2 saṃ1 vṛ-ṣṇyā-ni2 a-bhi-mā-ti-ṣā-haḥ3 ā-pyā-ya-mā-no1 a-mṛ-tā-ya2 so-ma3 di-vi1 śra-vāṃ-sy2 ut-ta-mā-ni3 dhi-ṣva1
Hendaklah sari-sari pemeliharamu (payāṃsi) dan kekuatan-kekuatanmu (vājāḥ) berhimpun; hendaklah daya-daya kejantanannya, wahai penakluk serangan (abhimātiṣāhaḥ), bersatu. Bertambah menuju keabadian, wahai Soma, tempatkanlah di surga kemuliaan-kemuliaan tertinggi (bagi kami).
