अङ्गदवाक्यम्—सीताहरण-प्रतिवेदन-धर्मविचारः
Angada’s Counsel on Reporting Without Sita
तमेवं कृतसङ्कल्पं जाम्बवान् हरिसत्तमः।।।।उवाच परमप्रीतो वाक्यमर्थवदर्थवित्।
tam evaṁ kṛtasaṅkalpaṁ jāmbavān harisattamaḥ | uvāca paramaprīto vākyam arthavad arthavit ||
Melihat dia demikian teguh dalam tekad, Jāmbavān—yang utama di antara para Vānara, arif dalam pertimbangan—berkata dengan sangat gembira, menyampaikan ujaran yang bermakna dan tepat guna.
"Jambavan, the noble vanara, skilled in the execution of tasks thus commanded in a determined manner:
Dharma here emphasizes wise counsel given with clarity and purpose—speech should be meaningful (arthavat) and guided by practical discernment (arthavit), especially when guiding leaders in a righteous mission.
In the Vānara host’s deliberations, Jāmbavān notices the prince’s firm resolve and begins to speak, setting up guidance on how the mission should proceed.
Practical wisdom joined with goodwill: Jāmbavān is pleased yet speaks responsibly, showing mature leadership through purposeful, mission-oriented counsel.
