सुन्दरकाण्डे अष्टपञ्चाशः सर्गः
हनुमद्वृत्तान्तकथनम्, सीताभिज्ञान-प्रदानम्, लङ्कादाह-वर्णनम्
ततो मे बुद्धिरुत्पन्ना श्रुत्वा तामद्भुतां गिरम्।अदग्धा जानकीत्येवं निमित्तैश्चोपलक्षिता।।।।
tato me buddhir utpannā śrutvā tām adbhutāṃ giram |
adagdhā jānakīty evaṃ nimittaiś copalakṣitā ||
Kemudian, setelah mendengar ujaran yang menakjubkan itu, timbullah pengertian dalam diriku: “Jānakī tidak terbakar.” Dan melalui tanda-tanda itu aku mengenalinya sebagai pertanda baik (perlindungannya).
"It was amazing to hear the words of the charanas. On hearing that Jankai had not been burnt, I understood that it is on her account (that he is also not burnt although his tail was ignited.)
Dharma is presented as trust in righteous protection: the innocent and virtuous (Sītā) are upheld by moral order, and the devotee reads events as confirmations of that order rather than as mere accidents.
Hanumān is recounting events after the burning of Laṅkā; he reflects on the miracle that Sītā remained unharmed and takes it as an auspicious sign.
