लक्ष्मणोपदेशः

Lakshmana Consoles Rama on Fate, Fortitude, and Right Action

शक्रादिष्वपि देवेषु वर्तमानौ नयानयौ।श्रूयेते नरशार्दूल न त्वं शोचितुमर्हसि।।3.66.12।।

śakrādiṣv api deveṣu vartamānau nayānayau |

śrūyete naraśārdūla na tvaṃ śocitum arhasi || 3.66.12 ||

Wahai harimau di antara manusia, terdengar bahwa bahkan di kalangan para dewa—Indra dan yang lainnya—berlaku naya dan anaya, yakni laku benar dan kebalikannya. Jika di sana pun ada pasang-surut demikian, engkau tidak patut tenggelam dalam ratap tangis.
