Sita’s Rebuke of Ravana; Removal to the Ashoka Grove
Enraged Ravana, who used to make enemies wail, turned to the demonesses and said these words.
The verse shows how anger drives adharma: when desire is thwarted, Rāvaṇa turns to force and control, illustrating the dharmic warning against krodha (wrath).
After threatening Sītā directly, Rāvaṇa pivots to instructing his demoness attendants to act against her.
The text emphasizes the vice of uncontrolled anger (as a counter-virtue), teaching that wrath leads to further unrighteous action.
